The Haas & Czjzek porcelain factory in Horní Slavkov was the first ever porcelain factory in Bohemia. Its story began in western Bohemia in 1792, but unfortunately ended twelve years ago along with its closure. The project Times are Changing. Delicate Beauty Remains. by Quynh Trang Tran reflects the effort to preserve the history of the once innovative company for posteriority. The factory’s impressive products are represented by a porcelain dining set consisting of eighteen various plates. On their surface, the artist has transcribed by hand the last interview with the company’s owner under whose management the factory went bankrupt.
